| Description: | The Adelaide Philharmonia Chorus presents beautiful choral arrangements of songs from the world of music theatre, conducted by Aldis Sils. Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful melodies and rich harmony from the “Golden Age” of musical theatre. Composers such as Leonard Bernstein, Richard Rodgers and Frederick Loewe brought to life the stories of ordinary people and, with their music, translated them into something transcendent. The choir will be joined by an ensemble of musicians to bring extra life to this wonderful music. You will be smiling and humming along to some of the greatest music of the 20th century. Your school-age children and grandchildren will love these wonderful tunes. Join us afterwards for refreshments and conversation. Wine, beer, and soft drinks available from the bar. Finger food, tea and coffee provided. The Latvian Hall is just off Greenhill Road at Wayville. |
